Phase 2 Motortrend has been part of the aftermarket since the early 2000s, with a catalog built around Japanese enthusiast platforms and the kinds of parts those cars actually need as the build gets more serious.

We like Phase 2 because they make a lot of the parts that sit between a basic bolt-on build and a much more complete chassis setup.

Adjustable arms, braces, mounts and smaller supporting components may not be the flashiest parts on the car, but they become important once ride height, alignment, drifting or track use starts changing what the factory hardware was designed to do.

S-Chassis Suspension & Drivetrain

The S-Chassis side of the catalog is especially strong. The S13/S14 Polyurethane Engine & Transmission Mount Kit is a practical upgrade for KA24 or SR20 builds, while Phase 2 also offers adjustable arms, braces and other chassis hardware for S13 and S14 setups.

86 / FR-S / BRZ Suspension

For the 86 platform, the Rear Upper Control Arms for FR-S / BRZ / GT86 give lowered cars substantially more rear camber adjustment, which makes them useful once alignment needs move beyond what the factory arms can provide.

Nissan Z Chassis Bracing

Phase 2 offers a lot of smaller chassis pieces for the Z33 and Z34. The 370Z Rear Lower Tie Brace is a simple example, while the Z catalog also includes subframe collars, fender braces and other reinforcement pieces for more complete chassis setups.

S-Chassis Lighting

Phase 2 also carries a surprisingly deep selection of S13 and S14 lighting. Their lineup includes replacement and JDM-style corner lights, side markers and turn signals for 180SX, Silvia and 240SX applications, which is useful when restoring an older car or finishing an exterior conversion.
