Pedal Commander

Pedal Commander is one of the most well-known throttle response controllers on the market. It is designed for modern drive-by-wire vehicles and plugs directly into the accelerator pedal harness, allowing you to change how aggressively the vehicle responds to throttle input without flashing or tuning the ECU.

The important thing to understand is that Pedal Commander does not add horsepower. What it changes is throttle mapping. From the factory, a lot of newer vehicles have a noticeable delay between pressing the accelerator and getting the response you expect. Pedal Commander lets you adjust that behavior with Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+ modes, along with multiple sensitivity levels within each mode.

That makes it useful across a pretty wide range of vehicles. On a truck or Jeep, you can calm the throttle down for technical off-road driving or make it feel sharper around town. On a performance car, the more aggressive settings can make throttle inputs feel much more immediate. Installation is plug-and-play, and the controller can be adjusted without permanently modifying the vehicle.

Pedal Commander is one of those modifications that makes more sense once you understand what it is actually doing. It isn't a power adder, and we wouldn't try to sell it as one. It simply gives you much more control over how the accelerator pedal behaves.

For vehicles with lazy factory throttle response, especially newer trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, and drive-by-wire performance cars, that can make a surprisingly noticeable difference in how the vehicle feels to drive.
