About Baja Designs
Baja Designs got its start in San Diego in 1992, with roots in motorcycle lighting and Baja desert racing. Founder Alan Roach’s experience racing the Baja 1000 helped shape the company’s approach to lighting, getting usable light where the rider or driver actually needs it. Today, their lineup covers off-road lights for trucks, Jeeps, UTVs, motorcycles, and race vehicles.
Their products include compact S2 and Squadron light pods, larger LP-series lights, and OnX6 light bars, along with vehicle-specific mounting kits and wiring. Different beam patterns provide coverage close to the vehicle, out toward the corners, or farther down the trail. That attention to light placement is a big part of what defines the brand.
Serviceability is another useful detail. Many Baja Designs lights feature their uService system, which allows owners to replace lenses or change beam patterns without replacing the entire light. It gives you options if a lens gets damaged or your lighting setup changes.
Why We Like Baja Designs At 9AM:
The San Diego roots are a bonus for us, but we like the attention to beam patterns and serviceable parts. Being able to put light where you need it and replace a damaged lens instead of an entire assembly is the kind of practical detail we appreciate on a vehicle that gets used.
