About Gibson Exhaust
Gibson Performance Exhaust started in 1990 with a problem the Gibson family wanted to solve on their own motorhome. The available exhaust options weren’t delivering the power and torque they wanted, so they began developing their own system. That motorhome project grew into a family-operated exhaust company based in Corona, California.
As customers started asking for similar upgrades for trucks and SUVs, Gibson expanded its lineup. Today, the company makes exhaust systems, headers, mufflers, and tips, with applications ranging from trucks and Jeeps to American muscle cars, UTVs, boats, and motorhomes. Their exhaust systems are manufactured in the United States.
That original focus on moving a heavy vehicle still shows up in Gibson’s approach. The company emphasizes low-to-midrange power and torque, along with exhaust sound that works for everyday driving. Their development process uses engine and chassis dynos, flow testing, and audio equipment to evaluate how a system performs and sounds.
Why We Like Gibson Exhaust At 9AM:
The motorhome origin is what we like about Gibson’s story. It started with people wanting their own vehicle to work better, which is something we can relate to. Their focus on usable torque and everyday sound also makes sense for trucks that spend time commuting, towing, and getting out on the weekends.
