About Nissan Z Chassis ( Z32, Z33, Z34 )

The Z32 300ZX, Z33 350Z, and Z34 370Z represent three distinct chapters of Nissan’s Z-car history. All use a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, but each generation has its own character, mechanical layout, and following.

The Z32 arrived for the 1990 model year in the United States with a major redesign of the 300ZX. Naturally aspirated and twin-turbo V6 versions gave it different personalities within the same generation. The 350Z later brought the Z back to the U.S. market for 2003, followed by the 370Z for 2009.

The 350Z and 370Z helped carry the platform into another generation of street, track, and drift builds. The Z32 remains its own project, with different packaging and maintenance considerations. Even within the 350Z range, engine revisions mean that parts aren’t always interchangeable from one year to another.

Why We Like The Nissan Z At 9AM:

We like that each generation gives you a different version of the same basic idea: a rear-wheel-drive sports car with an engine up front and a reason to take the long way home. A carefully kept 300ZX and a well-used track Z both belong in that conversation.

Popular Nissan Z Chassis ( Z32, Z33, Z34 ) Upgrades

The Z32, Z33, and Z34 give you three different starting points for a build. A 300ZX project has different needs than a 350Z drift car or a 370Z that splits time between commuting and track days. Our Z collections cover suspension, powertrain, bracing, and roll bars and cages, with parts specific to each platform.

Suspension And Alignment

Coilovers get plenty of attention, but there’s more to a Z’s suspension than ride height. Our Nissan Z suspension collection also includes adjustable arms, toe links, bushings, and steering components. Alignment adjustment matters when you change ride height, and worn suspension, differential, or subframe bushings deserve attention on an older chassis. For more specialized builds, the collection also includes drifting angle kits and HICAS eliminator options for applicable cars.

Intake, Exhaust, And Powertrain

Exhaust sound is a big part of a Z’s personality. It’s also something you’ll hear every time you drive it, so think about how you use the car before choosing a setup. Our Z powertrain collection includes intake and exhaust options alongside clutch kits, differentials, and engine components. Whether you’re replacing a tired clutch or working toward a larger engine build, start with your exact chassis and engine. “Fits a Z” doesn’t tell you enough.

Chassis Bracing

Our Nissan Z bracing collection includes strut bracing, P2M rear lower tie braces, and subframe rigid collar kits for selected applications. These address different areas of the car, so it helps to know what each piece connects and what you want it to accomplish. They’re worth considering as part of the overall chassis setup, especially when you’re already working through suspension and subframe upgrades.

Roll Bars And Cages

The Z interior collection focuses on Autopower roll bars and cages, including options such as the 350Z U-Weld Roll Bar. This is an area to plan before ordering. Bar or cage design, seat position, restraints, and the requirements of the events you intend to run all need to work together.
